MedRiSSE: Replicable Innovations of SSE in the provision of services and creation of decent jobs in the post covid-19 crisis recovery

Objectives

General objective: Develop a Mediterranean path of scale change for social innovations that allow the co-production of municipal services with local agents of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE).  

Specific objectives:

  • Use and expand the “Widened community of Practice” (WCoP) created in MedTOWN, with members and contributions from other Europeans programs: MoreThanaJob, MedUP, IESS, progRESSs, RUWOMED  
  • Create a Mediterranean co-production lab to promote the provision of public services with alliances with the SSE and the identification of opportunities.  
  • Develop a methodology for replication and scaling up, evolving towards a Mediterranean kit for innovation in the public sector and those public authorities understand and apply innovation daily. 
  • Advocacy for legal and institutional reforms in favour of emerging SSE sectors

  • Expanded Community of Practice 
  • Design of a Mediterranean replication toolbox for the protection of economic and social rights 
  • Strengthening networking with other initiatives 
  • Mediterranean Co-production Laboratory 
  • Report on the transnational analysis of national maps and studies on social innovation 
  • Development of policy briefs on social innovation to promote positive influence on policy makers 
  • Policy and advocacy initiatives 
  • Creation of a CitESS in Tubas (Palestine)
